The Ascension Cathedral is proud to sponsor another year of one our most successful youth ministries. All families who are members in good standing are eligible to participate in this program. The children are expected to attend church frequently, participate in the altar and/or attend Sunday School. Children of all skill sets are welcome as the league is meant to build friendship, teamwork and Christian values amongst our youth.
BOYS Grades Age Practice Times
C League 3-5 Grades* 8-10* Saturday, 9-10 AM
B League 6-7 Grades 11-12 Saturday, 10-11 AM
A League 8-9 Grades 13-14 Saturday, 11-12 PM
GIRLS Grades Age Practice Times
C League 3-5 Grades* 8-10* Saturday, 8-9 AM
Girls A & Girls B League participation will be based on the number of interested children.
* Younger children are welcome, but participation should first be confirmed with coach.
The first practice is scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Fr. Thomas Paris Events Center. Please bring your children to the practice early to maximize the practice time. Games with other local Orthodox churches do not begin until January and end in mid-March. The games are usually scheduled on Sundays after church. A nominal fee will be charged for children to participate in the program in order to cover OYAA league entry fees, referees and gyms (estimated to be no more than $50/child).
