Liturgical Needs

Instructions for in-kind donations: 

If you would like to donate something small but vital to the church, here is a list of items that we are always in need of:

candles, incense, olive oil, wine.

There are also “bigger” items that we need throughout the year such as flowers for Holy Week and the Kouvouklion, flowers for Christmas, for Pascha and for the Feast of our Church (Ascension of Christ). These needs will be updated and posted by situation and closer to the dates of these events.

Also, from time to time, we have need of updating some of the liturgical items that we use in the church on a weekly basis, such as the Gospel and the covers to the altar and other liturgical items.

We are especially and constantly in need of Prosphora, and are looking to expand the number of people who offer Artoklasia and Kollyva.

If you would like to donate any of these items please contact our clergy.

Also, as many of the fixtures of our church are aging, there are a number of special liturgical items that are also in need of replacement (the altar candles, etc). If you are interesting in donating a special liturgical item, please contact our Proistamenos, Fr Thomas Zaferes (email or phone: 510-531-3400). We have already received a committment toward a new Kouvouklion!
